Premiere: Gallegos ‘Furious Glory’

Gallegos will release a new EP on Rhythm Section later this week, ‘Memories You’ve Memorised’. Have an exclusive first listen to ‘Furious Glory’ below.

Spurred by his love of ’90s rave euphoria, and talent for channelling it into bumper-sized productions for labels including Permanent Vacation and Semi Delicious, Gallegos (first name Oliver) has been scaling the ranks of the UK club circuit since his first release back in 2018. Now, the Bristol-based DJ and producer is touching down on Bradley Zero’s legendary Rhythm Section label with his most uninhibited EP to date, curving through sections of dizzying deep house, breaks, ambient and more across five distinctly unique cuts.

Set for release this Thursday (5th July), ‘Memories You’ve Memorised’ might be better described as a mini album in terms of the sheer ground it covers. From the bright and breaks-laden ‘Furious Glory’ – with its tear-jerking synth apexes threatening to send you into an emotional tailspin – to the clubby title track, where scattered Juno chords and an arpeggiated church organ get to work beneath a rousing, Run-DMC sample.

‘Over & Over’ switches the track again for a harmonious ambient interlude, and a chance to get your breath back before the pummelling onslaught of ‘Slingshot’ – Gallegos’ most recent single. The cuts on the EP have been rigorously road-tested on dancefloors across the continent ahead of release, including Panorama Bar, where Gallegos is a regular, as well as The Cause, Cobalt Studios, Gallery 1986 and more.

Catch the London-born artist performing at Croatia’s Love International next week, alongside the likes of Craig Richards, Francesco Del Garda, MoopieEris DrewOcto Octa and Horse Meat Disco, among others.

‘Memories You’ve Memorised’ is out 5th July. Pre-order the EP here, and have an exclusive first listen to ‘Furious Glory’ below.
