Tomorrowland’s the Great Library and Freedom stages redesigned for 2025 edition
Tomorrowland has redesigned two classic arenas, the Great Library and the Freedom stage, for its 2025 event.
The Great Library (pictured), which focuses on house, big room and hardstyle across the weekend, has undergone a complete redesign. Wider and taller than last year, the new build replaces the traditional giant book features with a palatial look. It now also boasts three huge LED screens spanning the entire width of the stage.
Across the weekend, the Great Library hosts the likes of MK, Nora En Pure, Jax Jones, Dimitri Vegas B2B Steve Aoki, and Brennan Heart.
The redesign of the Freedom stage is centred around a major tech upgrade. The indoor arena, which last year featured colossal butterflies suspended from the ceiling, now features 210 video panels and 300 square metres of LED screens as part of its “Floating Sky” kinetic roof and wall installation.
Armin van Buuren headlines the Freedom stage on the Saturday of the first weekend, with other acts across the weekend including Tomorrowland favourites Symphony of Unity, Sammy Virji, Sara Landry, and Reinier Zonneveld under his Hardkar alias going B2B with Angerfist.
Tomorrowland’s main stage also had to be completely rebuilt overnight after the original version was destroyed by a fire less than 48 hours before the event was due to start. The emergency construction reportedly uses parts from Metallica’s recent tour.
