Premiere: Fireground ‘Love Letter’

Premiere: Fireground ‘Love Letter’

Fireground will release a new EP, ‘Love Letter’, later this week. Have an exclusive first listen to the title track below.

On their fourth EP for Tresor Records, the Italy-born, Germany-based duo harness the Mediterranean warmth and energy of their live sets into four sun-licked house and techno groovers. Crafted from filtered synths, blissful pads and rousing xylophone-esque melodies, the tracks on ‘Love Letter’ are made-to-order for balmy, festival evenings that seem to stretch out forever.

On opener ‘The Element’, a looped groove climbs until its engulfed by a vintage synth pattern, proudly informed by turn-of-the-century techno, whilst the title track serves up its plush house with hints of sparky electro.

“We had the ‘summer’ concept in mind from the beginning, this pushed us to create a message in our sound making it uplifting and engaging, capable of conveying a positive, romantic and warm vibe,” Fireground shared of the EP.

The project – out this Friday – follows three previous Tresor EPs from the Italian pairing: 2021’s ‘Dualism’, 2022’s ‘Dreams’, released as part of the label’s 30th anniversary celebrations, and last year’s dazzling ‘Refreshing Pt. 1’.

Catch Fireground performing at next month’s Kappa FuturFestival, alongside the likes of Four TetCaristaPurple Disco MachineVintage CultureMiss Monique and plenty more.

‘Love Letter’ is out 14th June via Tresor 365. Pre-order the EP here, and have an exclusive first listen to the title track below.
