Premiere: Anna Morgan 'Armada Stylo'

News

Anna Morgan will release her new track ‘Armada Stylo’ next week, as part of the upcoming ‘ARMADASOUNDS’ compilation from Mexico City collective Bldsmx.

Co-founder of New York/Los Angeles-based party and label Worst Behavior — which was named one of DJ Mag’s labels to watch in 2020 — Morgan also runs the Footwork Jungle blog, both of which focus on high-speed, hybridised rave beats from across the US and wider world.

Her latest production features on ‘ARMADASOUNDS 001’, a new compilation series launched by Bldsmx members Vinil Motion and Deeplinkin to highlight local and international talent making fast, avant garde dance music. Alongside Morgan, the first edition features music from Canada’s Metafloor, Chicago juke producer Static and Mexican artists Eric Uh, Rainforest, Juke Dealer and Aladar.

Ultra-stripped-back and swathed in late-night murkiness, Anna Morgan’s ‘Armada Stylo’ uses minimal elements to maximum effect — an eerie, hypnotic hook weaving movement through the track’s rigid four-to-the-floor pulse. Listen to it below.

The full ‘ARMADASOUNDS 001 – BLDS 2020’ compilation drops Friday 2nd October. Buy it here.
