Ninja Tune’s Zen Delay unit is now available as a software plug-in

Ninja Tune’s Zen Delay FX unit is now available as a software plug-in called Zen Delay Virtual.

Created in collaboration with Erica Synths, the digital iteration of the hardware delay unit is furnished with the same five delay modes (tape, tape ping pong, digital, digital ping pong, vintage) along with a multi-mode filter and overdrive. It’s described as “a studio secret weapon for all possible instruments”.

The ZDV also boasts a new modulation page, new triplet and dotted delay times plus a preset manager and library with sounds from Hora Music, producers Mijk van Dijk, Nerk and Dr. Walker, and artist Kiss Nuka.

Zen Delay Virtual is priced at €99 for the next three months after which the price increases to €149. For every license sold, one five-year-old oak tree will be planted as part of the reforestation project by Portugal’s Liquid Sky artist collective.

Pick one up and find out more at the Erica Synths site. Check out the demo video below.

In other Ninja Tune news, the label’s Counter Records imprint is due to release the debut album by LP Giobbi, ‘Light Places’, on 12th May while last year they launched a free education initiative for young music professionals alongside Southbank Centre and Big Dada.
