Bell Curve – Magick

Bell Curve – Magick

‘Magick’, the latest from New York-based producer Bell Curve, feels like applying some deliciously naughty lip gloss before a night out. Take the title track, a mischievous monologue that strips the riot girl anthem to its bones — all propulsive beat and bass. This tumbles into the bouncing footwork of ‘Rollercoaster’, following a thread of sticky, filthy sub and synths laid out on the EP’s opening one-two punch of ‘Crush’ and ‘New Me’. The former is easily one of the set’s strongest — a sweltering deepdive into the depths of Bell Curve’s underground where you’ll find yourself applying that lip gloss all over someone else.
