Nídia & Valentina share collaborative album, ‘Estradas’: Listen

Príncipe label affiliate Nídia has released a collaborative album with percussionist Valentina Magaletti. You can listen to it below.

Entitled ‘Estradas’, the nine-track record takes its name from the Portuguese word for ‘roads’, and has been released through French label Latency. It sees the two artists blend their respective ears for percussion with melodies played using a marimba and other sound sources.

This is the first time Nídia and Magaletti have collaborated on record, and they will be presenting the album live at a number of locations in the coming months.

The new record follows Nídia’s 2023 album for Príncipe, titled ’95 MINDJERES’.
