Nicolás Jaar, Simo Cell, KMRU, Juliana Huxtable, more contribute to 62-track compilation for Gaza
Nicolás Jaar, Suzanne Ciani and KMRU are among a wide cast of artists who’ve contributed tracks to a new compilation raising funds for Palestinian children who have been affected by the Israeli military’s ongoing assault on Gaza.
The digital-only ‘ENOUGH!’ compiles 62 tracks, and is available to purchase via Bandcamp here. It has been put together by Amman-based DJ and curator Mayss, who runs the Dreaming Live podcast.
Simo Cell, Legowelt, Julianna Huxtable & Via App, ZULI, DJ Marcelle, Matrixxman, Sarah Davachi and Bok Bok are among the other artists who’ve contributed music to ENOUGH!’
All proceeds from the sale of the compilation will support Dr. Ghassan Abu Sittah’s Children’s Fund. Dr. Ghassan has volunteered extensively in Gaza, and has recently worked in both the Al-Ahli and Shifa hospitals in the region. His Children’s Fund aims to treat injured children, rebuild destroyed medical infrastructure and establish a sponsorship program for 20,000+ children who have been orphaned.
A note from Dr. Ghassan Abu Sittah accompanying the release reads: “I want to send my deepest gratitude for your work in supporting our people in their hour of greatest need. We must continue to talk about Gaza, sing about Gaza and shout in the streets for Gaza. Your support will help us provide much needed treatment for wounded children and to train doctors and nurses to replace the 450 that have been killed.”
Earlier this month, Sepehr, JakoJako and more contributed tracks to a compilation raising funds for a family to be evacuated from Gaza.
