Nia Archives releases new EP, ‘Sunrise Bang Ur Head Against Tha Wall’: Listen

Nia Archives has released her new EP, ‘Sunrise Bang Ur Head Against Tha Wall’. Check it out below.

The six-track EP, out now via HIJINXX/Island Records, features a number of singles released by the DJ, producer and vocalist in recent months: including ‘Baianá’, ‘So Tell Me…’, and ‘Conveniency’.

The EP’s title track has also been released as a single today, and includes samples of Nia’s friends chatting and laughing over emotive piano chords and amen breaks.

It’s been a successful year for the Leeds-born, Manchester-raised jungle and drum & bass star, who recently won the Best Electronic Act at the MOBO awards, Best Producer NME award, and became the first electronic artist to be named BBC Music Introducing Artist of the Year.

Speaking to DJ Mag last year following her Breakthrough Producer win at DJ Mag’s Best of British Awards, Nia said: “It’s been an absolute whirlwind and I’m still processing it all. I feel honoured to be representing a new generation of junglists.”

Nia Archives is set to embark on a tour across the UK and Europe next week, starting on 16th March at 60 Dock Road, London. Tickets are on sale now.

Nia Archives also recently released a hard-hitting remix of Skin on Skin’s viral track ‘Burn Dem Bridges’.
