New vinyl pressing plant opens in Ireland
Ireland’s only pressing plant, Anthem Vinyl, has officially launched.
As The Journal reports, Anthem Vinyl is fitted out with two record presses and has commenced operations with around a dozen employees.
The plant is located in Clane, Co. Kildare and run by colleagues Brian Kenny, former head of Operations at Dublin Vinyl, and Chris Keena, former commercial manager at Dublin Vinyl.
According to its website, Anthem Vinyl aims to bring “the timeless art of vinyl pressing to life with precision, passion and an unwavering commitment to quality… Ours is a space where creativity, craftsmanship and music come together to deliver exceptional vinyl records.”
The team also pledges to be “a step toward a greener future”, signing off their list of services, which includes splatter vinyl and sea shipping options from Europe to the US, with the statement: “pressed responsibly, recycled thoughtfully”.

Scotland’s Seabass Vinyl, which launched in 2023, was officially certified as the UK’s first carbon neutral pressing plant earlier this year.
A 2024 study by the UK’s largest physical music production broker, Key Production, found that 77% of music fans would pay more for sustainably produced records.
