Native Instruments celebrates 20 years of TRAKTOR with limited-edition timecode vinyl series
Native Instruments is celebrating 20 years of their DJ software TRAKTOR with a new limited-edition timecode vinyl series.
The five designs feature collaborations with Sasha’s Last Night on Earth label and New York turntablist DJ Shiftee and are available in five colourways, including glow-in-the-dark-green and purple. Each timecode vinyl controls one turntable in TRAKTOR, which means you imitate the action of scratching, mixing and beatmatching records. TRAKTOR Scratch was one of the first software to support timecode vinyl and was revolutionary for how DJs performed in the booth, ushering in the age of laptops and expanding digital DJing to the masses.
“TRAKTOR has been monumental in my professional and personal development”, said Shiftee, whose design is rendered in bright blue vinyl. “Here’s to 20 more years!”
Check out the collection and pick up a vinyl via the Native Instruments site here. Anyone who purchases a copy of Sasha’s Last Night on Earth vinyl will also receive a free download of Sasha’s new rework of Photek’s ‘Aviator’.
Last year, Native Instruments marked its 25th birthday with a release of limited edition hardware controllers as well as a new free plugin called TWENTY FIVE.
