Nas announces ‘Illmatic’ orchestral shows for 30th anniversary

Nas is to mark the 30th anniversary of his debut album ‘Illmatic’ with a trio of orchestral shows in Las Vegas later this year.

The rapper will be joined by the Las Vegas Philharmonic to play the album live at Wynn Las Vegas’ Encore Theater on 29th August, 30th August and 1st September.

Speaking about the gigs, Nas said: “Las Vegas has always served as a creative outlet for my music, and these performances will take that to the next level. I am excited to partner with the Las Vegas Philharmonic to bring the first-of-its-kind performance to Encore Theater and to showcase my music to my fans in Las Vegas in a whole new way.”

Tickets for the shows can be purchased here.

Nas will follow the shows with an ‘Illmatic’ 30th anniversary tour of the UK and Europe through October and November.

Last year, Nas released a surprise album, titled ‘Magic 2’.
