Nas announces ‘Illmatic’ 30th anniversary tour

Nas is set to mark the 30th anniversary of his classic debut album ‘Illmatic’ with a tour later this year.

Taking him across the UK and Europe through October and November, the tour will see him play the album live in full, with 15 dates scheduled across Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, the Netherlands, France and the UK.

Kicking off at Helsinki’s House of Culture on 22nd October, the tour will round off with four dates in the UK, taking Nas to Manchester’s O2 Victoria Warehouse (10th November), Usher Hall in Edinburgh (11th November), Wolverhampton’s Civic Hall (14th November) and the Royal Albert Hall in London (15th November).

The pre-sale for tickets will take place at 10am on Tuesday, 23rd April here, with a general sale set to follow two days later.

To celebrate the announcement, Nas and DJ Premier, who produced three key tracks from ‘Illmatic’, have linked up on a new single called ‘Define My Name’. You can watch the video for that below.

Last year, Nas released a surprise album, titled ‘Magic 2’.
