Massive Attack’s Daddy G remixes Lee Scratch Perry & Greentea Peng’s ‘100lbs Summer’: Listen

Massive Attack’s Daddy G has teamed up with fellow Bristol-based project Robot Club to remix Lee “Scratch” Perry and Greentea Peng’s collaborative track ‘100lbs’. Listen to it below.

Out now, the remix strips back the original into a brooding, minimalistic dub cut, complete with rumbling bassline and skipping drums. It also retains Perry and Greentea Peng’s vocals.

The original track appeared on the recently released ‘King Perry’ LP, which is Perry’s final album. He worked on the record up until his death in 2021, and it features guest spots from Shaun Ryder, Tricky and Marta, among others.

Daddy G and Robot Club’s remix of ‘100lbs’, which you can listen to below, has been released alongside another remix of the track, by Bristol’s No 1 Special.
