Lady Lykez announces new EP, 'Woza', on Hyperdub, shares single

Lady Lykez is releasing a new EP on Hyperdub later this month.

Titled ‘Woza’, the five-track record features production from Scratchclart (aka Scratcha DVA) and features guest production from DJ Polo on ‘Bully Dem. Guest vocals on the EP come from Trim and Toya Delazy. The EP takes its name from the Zulu term for the words ‘come on’.

Covering sounds such as gqom, amapiano and UK funky, the new release marks Lady Lykez’s second record with Hyperdub, following 2019’s ‘Muhammad Ali EP’, which was also produced by Scratchclart.

‘Woza’ will be released on 28th October, and Lady Lykez is set to join Scratchclart at London’s Printworks the following day as part of the line-up for Hessle Audio’s 15th anniversary party.
