Kyiv’s 20ft Radio launches week-long fundraising broadcast, Grains of Peace

Kyiv online radio station 20ft Radio has launched a week-long fundraising broadcast.

Running from today (28th March) to 3rd April, Grains of Peace will feature mixes of “calm and peaceful sounds to provide emotional support and healing” during Russia’s ongoing invasion of Ukraine.

As well as local artists including Nikolaienko, Anthony Junkoid and Mlin Patz, international DJs and producers such as Elena Colombi, Legowelt, Yu Su and Aleksi Perala, will contribute mixes to the broadcast.

All money raised will go National Bank of Ukraine’s Fundraising Account for Humanitarian Assistance, Infrastructure Restoration Fund and Destroyed Property. Listeners can also contribute to the fundraiser – which has set a goal at $100,000 – via the 20ft Radio website.

“We believe that music is an instrument of peace, a medicine, which power can be felt by everyone and can help to find faith, hope and peace in this world again,” said 20ft Radio in a statement. “We invite artists and music lovers from all over the world to sow Grains of Peace to support the spirit of our country, fill souls with light and fill the future with meaning.”

On 1st April, DJ Mag and Night Tales will team up to raise money for the Disasters Emergency Committee Ukraine appeal, supporting humanitarian efforts in Ukraine.
