Kendrick Lamar’s new album is in the works, according to Terrace Martin

Martin then revealed his excitement over Lamar’s impending album, which he reportedly worked on. It will be the follow up to 2022’s acclaimed LP ‘Mr Morale and the Big Steppers‘, which he also played a role in. He then listed a number of other rappers with forthcoming records on the way, including YG, Mustard and another of Martin’s collaborators, Roddy Ricch. All of these artists grew up in Compton, a city within Los Angeles that has produced numerous luminaries, such as Dr Dre and N.W.A., Coolio, and The Game.

“Let me tell y’all the records I’m excited for. I’m excited for YG’s album, I’m excited for Mustard’s album,” said Martin. “I’m excited for a lot of people, but there’s two albums, I’m going crazy, I can’t wait ’til they drop — Roddy Ricch album and whenever Kendrick drops his album, I’m excited for those two. Those two Compton artists is like, I’m excited. So much shit bubbling, you know?”
