JASSS announces new album, ‘Eager Buyers’, shares title track: Listen

JASSS’s third album, ‘Eager Buyers’, will kick off her new label platform AWOS. Listen to the title track below 

The seven-track LP, out 19th September, is the Berlin-based Spanish artist’s first new solo release in four years, since her 2021 album, ‘A World of Service’, for Ostgut Ton. james K and Alias Error appear as collaborators on the penultimate track, ‘It’s A Hole’.

“Whether you buy into the dream of capitalism or not, on a subconscious level, many people that lived through the ’90s and 2000s had capitalist hope from the ’80s and ’90s drummed into them”, JASSS said in a press statement about the LP’s themes, “modern malaise”, “anti-nostalgia” and “irreconcilable dreams” among them. “It was a promise of something that never came true. We put our faith in a mirage, and now we’re left in an existential void, struggling with a very real collapse.”

‘Eagle Buyers’ inaugurates JASSS’ new platform AWOS, previously the heading of a live show. The reinvigorated title will serve as a label, live event series and radio show, as well as host musical, audiovisual and art collaborations.

In 2022, JASSS collaborated with Gabber Eleganza on the limited edition remix 12″ ‘RSD2022’ for Never Sleep. Her debut album, ‘Weightless’, landed on iDEAL Recordings 2017, she released an EP for Whities (now AD 93) in 2020.
