Gorillaz announce 25th anniversary exhibition, House Of Kong

Gorillaz are putting on an exhibition to mark their 25th anniversary.

Described as “a journey through the band’s life of misadventures, musical innovation and ground-breaking virtual ways,” House of Kong will be held at the Copper Box in London between 8th August and 3rd September. It will be open daily from 10:30 AM to 10 PM.

Check out a trailer for the exhibition below. Find out more info and pick up tickets here.

Additionally, exhibition ticket holders will be given exclusive pre-sale access to four limited-capacity Gorillaz live shows at Copper Box Arena, which are due to take place between 29th August and 3rd September.

To celebrate the anniversary of their landmark second album, ‘Demon Days’, which turns 20 this month, Gorillaz recently shared a full performance of a 2006 live show from Harlem’s Apollo Theater.

Meanwhile, fans of Gorillaz can expect a new album this year.

In a March interview with French magazine Les Inrockuptibles about the new opera he’s involved in, ‘The Magic Flute II, La Malédiction’, Damon Albarn was asked about his plans for 2025. “I’m finishing a Gorillaz album,” he responded. “One opera and one Gorillaz album seems like enough for 2025! Unless someone accuses me of taking my foot off the gas!

Albarn was among 1000 musicians who recently put their name to a silent album to protest AI plans approved by the government.
