Fred again.. and Obongjayar share new single ‘adore u’: Listen
Fred again.. has teamed up with Obongjayar on a new single, ‘adore u’, out via Atlantic Records. Check it out below.
The track, which is dedicated to Fred’s sister, samples tender lyrics lifted from Obongjayar’s 2022 debut album, ‘Some Nights I Dream Of Doors’. It was performed live by the duo for the first time in Chicago last weekend ahead of Fred’s four-date run at London’s Alexandra Palace, and will likely become a mainstay in the UK DJ and producer’s set.
Prior to the release last week, Fred shared a short video of the pair jamming on Instagram, with the caption: “Finally got to sit in the room and hear this beautiful man sing these words right there. And it really felt magical. What a fuckin guy man.”
Following sets at the historic London venue on the 4th, 5th, 6th and 8th of September, the breakout artist will continue his sold-out tour in Berlin, Amsterdam, Brussels and Paris from the 12th through 21st September, spending two nights at Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome and Paris nightspot, Zenith.
Obongjayar was billed to perform at the inaugural Rally festival last weekend, before having to pull out due to travel issues. Fans can catch the Nigerian artist later this month at Greenman Festival and Forward Festival Bristol.
