Former Pendulum vocalist Ben Verse fundraiser launched following leukaemia diagnosis
The family of former Pendulum vocalist Ben Mount, aka Ben Verse, have launched a GoFundMe campaign to help with medical treatment, care and other costs related to his acute leukaemia diagnosis.
The drum & bass MC and producer began experiencing health issues in August 2024, when he was hospitalised in Spain with suspected tuberculosis, Mount’s brother Jeremy wrote on GoFundMe. After a series of unsuccessful treatments and complications, he was diagnosed with acute monoblastic leukaemia (AML-M5a) and is receiving his second course of chemotherapy.
“Finally, after over four months in hospital it looks like Ben will soon be able to return home”, Jeremy wrote. “The road to rehabilitation will be a long one and Ben will need a lot of care and support to bring him back to the person we all know and love… We have set up this fund to help Ben’s family with the costs of a range of everyday and extraordinary financial costs including nursing care, childcare, and mobility solutions. The list goes on and on… Please consider giving what you can.”
While Ben Verse was recovering from being put in an induced coma in September, he began working on new music, which will be released throughout the coming months. The first track, titled ‘Recovery‘, is a collaboration with Youngsta and Cimm. Listen to it below.
