Flume shares archival demo track, ‘Slugger 1.4 [2014 Export.WAV]’: Listen

Flume has shared an archival demo. You can hear ‘Slugger 1.4 [2014 Export.WAV]’ below.

The previously-unheard track arrives on the tenth anniversary of the Australian artist’s self-titled debut album, which topped the ARIA Albums Chart in 2012 and was certified double-Platinum in his homeland and Gold in New Zealand later that year.

“[I] made this one in Paris [and] always loved this demo, but it never quite made it onto an album. I figured now that it’s 10 years since my first album was released it would be a good time to share. Hope you like it,” Flume said of the production.

Friday 11th November sees Flume, real name Harley Streten, embark on his first Australian tour since the pandemic, with a show in Perth. He then hits Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Hobart, with collaborators Channel Tres, Toro Y Moi, MAYA-A, and Vera Blu are confirmed to join. He will also perform at all three days of Spilt Milk Festival in Canberra, Ballarat, and the Gold Coast. Dates are in support of his third studio album, ‘Palaces’, which was released in May and has earned six 2022 ARIA Awards and two J Awards nominations.

Revisit DJ Mag’s interview with Flume, ‘A King and His Castle’, from earlier this year, then check out another archive release he gave fans, ‘Greenpeace’, written in 2017 and finally released in August.
