FLOHIO returns with new single, ‘Make It Bang’: Listen

FLOHIO has released a new single ‘Make It Bang’. Check it out below.

Produced by Karma Kid, who has previously collaborated with Shygirl, Hak Baker, Bakar, and others, ‘Make It Bang’ marks the British rapper’s first release since her 2022 debut album, ‘Out Of Heart’. The track was also mixed by FLOHIO’s long-time collaborator, James Rand of God Colony.

The new track kicks off a series of singles to be released by FLOHIO in the coming months. Speaking on the new track, the artist said: “I’ve always admired Karma Kid’s sonic versatility. I recorded my first songs just up the road from Brixton over a decade ago – those were good times! It felt full circle being in that room, creating with wonder kids. I took a year off music after touring ‘Out of Heart,’ thinking about the next phase.

“I wanted something stimulating, fun, and light after a heavy 2023. Inspired by Jersey Club and Electronic music, I added a London flair while keeping my industrial sound. I love how the sounds in ‘Make It Bang’ cut through! I’m excited about piecing together concepts for my next album. I’m pushing myself harder than ever before.”

It’s been a busy year for the Nigeria-born, South London-based rapper. Back in October, she embarked on a tour hitting cities like Bristol, Manchester, and London. Prior to that, she played a number of festivals across the UK and Europe, including Glastonbury, All Points East, Phoda, and Dekmantel. She also recently performed Chorus Festival in France.
