Batu’s Timedance announces 10th anniversary compilation Pearson Sound, BADSISTA, Ayesha, more

Batu’s Timedance label is celebrating its 10th birthday with a new compilation, ‘TD10’.

The label has lined up contributions from Pearson Sound, Skee Mask, BADSISTA, Verraco, JASSS, Bambounou, re:ni, Polygonia, 33EMYBW and many more for the 23-track release, which is out on 10th October.

In a press release, the label describes ‘TD10’ as being “bound together by a shared affinity for bassweight presence and vibrant, three-dimensional production.”

“The combination of familiar and fresh names, combined with the forward-facing spirit of the music, feeds into a powerful statement of where things are at and where they’re heading.”

Batu recently contributed to the soundtrack of a new documentary about Newcastle’s young inner city horse riders, Stepney Western, directed by Newcastle-based filmmaker Harry Lawson.

In 2020, the label released their fifth anniversary compilation with contributions from Batu, Bruce, Ploy, and others.
