FKA Twigs cancels North American tour dates due to visa issues

FKA Twigs has been forced to cancel her upcoming North American April tour dates citing visa issues.

The UK artist, who was scheduled to play Chicago today (26th March), Toronto on the 30th March and New York on 3rd and 4th April, announced the cancellation news in a social media post earlier today.

“Today, I was informed that production did not fill out the correct paperwork in a timely manner for us to have our visas to come to the U.S.A. and perform,” Twigs said. “By no choice of my own, I will have to pull out of my New York, Chicago, and Toronto shows.”

She added: “For those of you who are wondering why I have to pull out of Toronto because it’s not part of the United States, it’s because of routing and just the complex beast that touring is. I don’t take this lightly. I’m completely devastated, to be honest with you. Completely heartbroken. All I want to do is be there with you and bring ‘Eusexua’ to you.”

Twigs last performed in the US in 2019. Check out the updated ‘EUSEXUA’ tour dates here.

Earlier this year, Twigs released her third album ‘EUSEXUA’, the long-awaited follow-up to 2019 LP ‘MAGDALENE’, which included the singles ‘Perfect Stranger’ and ‘Drums Of Death’.

The album features production credits from Koreless, Eartheater, Sasha Stargate and Twigs herself, while Eartheater and Nicolás Jaar are also listed on the writing credits. North West, the daughter of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, appears as a featured artist on the track ‘Childlike Things’.

Watch FKA Twigs debut two new songs at London Fashion Week last year.
