FEMME HOUSE announces free DJ, production and discussion workshops for 2025

FEMME HOUSE has revealed its free production, DJ, activism and discussion workshop programming for the first half of 2025.

Founded by LP Giobbi and HERMIXALOT in 2019, the New York-based non-profit organisation dedicated to creating equitable opportunity and amplifying women, gender-expansive, BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ creatives is offering a number of free virtual workshops. 

The courses focus on a mix of Ableton and DJ technique, as well as discussions on music history: Mary Droppinz and Geexella will lead lessons on DJ mixing for beginners, troubleshooting and creating a safe dance floor; Mini Bear and Lorna Dune will cover vocal and live production skills; and HERMIXALOT and Geexella will get into how dance music and activism have been inextricably linked in the past and present.
