Eris Drew releases ‘Raving Disco Breaks Volume II – Rock The House’ on T4T LUV NRG

Eris Drew has released a new mixtape, ‘Raving Disco Breaks Volume II – Rock The House’, on T4T LUV NRG . Listen to it below. 

It’s the follow-up to ‘Raving Disco Breaks Vol. I’, which dropped back in 2019 and marked the debut release on the T4T LUV NRG label, which she co-runs with Octo Octa

According to the press release, Eris wanted to “create a new sound for the second volume of her acclaimed mixtape series instead of simply retracing the pure disco vibes of the original.” 

The release states that the “rock ‘n’ roll house mix” took shape over five years, evolving from a concept rooted in musical fragments, memories, and synchronicities. The mix features vocal samples from iconic rock ‘n’ roll figures such as Janis Joplin, Joe Strummer, Ramones, and Led Zeppelin, which Eris chops and scratches into the mix over the course of its two sides. 

The tracks all found their way into her collection over decades of digging through old mix cassettes recorded by DJs like Terry Mullan and Mustic Bill, as well as through hours of searching through dusty bins and YouTube rips.

‘Raving Disco Breaks Volume II – Rock The house’ is out now, available as a digital release as well as a limited edition cassette mixtape. You can purchase a copy here.
