EDC announces Colombia festival for 2026

The Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) is coming to Colombia.

Taking place in Medellín in October 2026, the first Colombian edition of EDC will take over sports complex Unidad Deportiva Atanasio Girardot, in partnership with entertainment company Páramo Presenta.

“Páramo Presenta is an incredible team that fits that perfectly,” EDC CEO and founder Pasquale Rotella said in a press release. “Medellín also offers a venue that can support the scale and creativity EDC is known for, along with the backing we need from the city and local community.”

He continued: “Most importantly, EDC must have a purpose. It should bring something meaningful to the area and leave a positive impact. EDC is about more than music – it’s about connection, culture, and creating unforgettable experiences that bring people together.”

EDC was launched in Southern California in 1997 and has since hosted editions in Mexico, the UK, Brazil, and several other countries. Last year, its flagship Las Vegas festival was voted the No. 2 festival in the world in DJ Mag’s Top 100 Festivals poll.
