David Guetta remixes Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s ‘Murder On The Dancefloor’: Listen

David Guetta has remixed Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s ‘Murder On The Dancefloor’. Check it out below.

The world’s No.1 DJ’s remix revisits Ellis-Bextor’s most famous and recently viral track. Originally released in 2001, the song saw a surge in popularity late last year after being featured in the blockbuster film Saltburn, as well as gaining traction on TikTok.

The original has gone on to earn Gold Certification in the US and 2x BRIT Platinum Certification in the UK. With over 140 million streams, it recently peaked at No. 2 on the UK Singles Chart and reached the Top 5 on the Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic Songs Chart.

Guetta reworks the original into a high-energy club rendition. It comes after Guetta’s recent remix of Mason and Princess Superstar’s song ‘Perfect (Exceeder)’, released last month, the original mix of which also appeared in Saltburn. Last year, David Guetta also dropped a remix of Calvin Harris’ ‘Miracle’, featuring Ellie Goulding, which he premiered at Ultra Music Festival Miami in March.

Alongside the release, Sophie Ellis-Bextor is gearing up for her first-ever headline tour in North America this summer. The tour, which includes stops in cities like San Francisco, New York, and Toronto, has already nearly sold out. The remaining tickets can be found here.
