Cream Classical announces 30 years of Cream celebration

News

Cream Classical has announced a 30 years of Cream celebration, honouring the last three decades of the Merseyside clubbing institution.

On the Waterfront Cream Classical 2022 will take place at Pier Head in Liverpool on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th September. Tickets are now on sale, and the two-day spectacular will feature Kaleidoscope Orchestra singers and performers curated by electronic heroes K-Klass.

At the time of writing, only the first two shows have been announced, however more dates and acts are set to be unveiled as part of the anniversary.

Cream began in 1992 as a weekly house music party at Nation, a now-demolished Liverpool venue, where it ran until 2002. Gradually expanding in both scope and music policy, the event has given rise to Thursday sessions at Ibiza institution Amnesia, the award-winning Creamfields festival, countless albums and mixes. Excerpts from this story can be found in the Dance Music Archive, which launched online earlier this year. In 2016 Cream Classical was introduced as an orchestral collaborative project, which has used various venues including Liverpool Cathedral.
