Chunky announces debut album, ‘Somebody’s Child’, on Eglo Records

Chunky has announced his debut album, ‘Somebody’s Child’, which is set to be released on Eglo Records on 3rd March 2023. Check out the video for ‘Dancin on Tables’ below.

The Manchester-based artist has made waves within the scene for his unique afro-futurist rap. ‘Somebody’s Child’ is described as a reflection on his journey of growing up in the Northern English city with Zimbabwean roots, set to a deconstructed grime and rap flow and fused with a variety of Afro-Diasporic sounds.

As a regular MC for the likes of Swamp81 and Hessle Audio and a life-long affiliate of Zed Bias, Chimpo, Dub Phizix and Manchester’s Levelz crew, Chunky’s voice has become synonymous with the UK’s underground club scene.

The rapper will be throwing an album launch party at fabric on 2nd March, joined by Zed Bias, Metrodome, Strategy, Alexander Nut, Miss Dee and more. Tickets are on sale now

Check out the music video for the ‘Dancin on Tables’ track from his forthcoming album below.
