Bonobo releases new single, ‘Expander’, via Ninja Tune: Listen

Bonobo has released a new single on Ninja Tune, titled ‘Expander’. You can listen to it below.

It’s the first new music fans have had from the UK artist since 2022, when he released the tracks ‘ATK’ and ‘Defender’, following his sixth studio album-proper, ‘Fragments, which landed the same year.

‘Expander’ combines solemn vocals, calm woodwind harmonies, organic percussion and a big synth hook. Already a firm fixture in Bonobo‘s sets, attendees at Glastonbury, where he played the LEVELS stage, were among the first to hear it.

Since then, the track has become a staple at Bonobo’s own OUTLIER events, large-scale shows which are currently the fastest-selling events held at London’s 15,000 capacity Drumsheds venue. On 24th September, the brand will head to the US for a takeover of Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Ninja Tune label mates Barry Can’t Swim and Sofia Kourtesis join him on the line-up. Further into autumn, events have been announced at The Warehouse Project, Manchester, and DGTL @ ADE, Amsterdam.
