Björk announces DJ set under Brooklyn’s K Bridge alongside Jlin, Shygirl, more

Björk has announced a DJ set beneath Brooklyn’s ‘K Bridge’ on Friday 10th May.

The Icelandic star will be joined by artists including JlinMun Sing and Shygirl, as well as Eartheater and Sega Bodega, both of whom will play DJ sets.

Pre-sale for tickets begins Thursday 11th April at 10AM Eastern Time. General sale begins at 10AM Eastern Time Friday 12th April. Sign up here

The show will take place at Under the K Bridge Park, an event space set among industrial surroundings in the shadow of the Kosciusko Bridge, which spans Newton Creek. The road above forms part of the iconic Brooklyn-Queens Expressway, connecting New York’s two biggest boroughs.

Earlier this week, The Knife’s Olof Dreijer shared his remix of Björk and Rosalía’s 2023 collaboration, ‘Oral’. You can listen to that below. The original single dealt with the environmental impact of salmon fishing in Iceland, with the new version utilising a tamborim. The small drum is usually heard in samba music.

Last year, Shy Girl and Sega Bodega jointly remixed Björk’s ‘Ovule‘.
