Beyoncé samples Robin S' house classic, 'Show Me Love', on new single, 'Break My Soul': Listen
Beyoncé’s new single, ‘Break My Soul’, includes nods to a ’90s house classic in Robin S’ ‘Show Me Love’.
‘Break My Soul’, which is out today, includes melodies distinctly created via the Korg M1 synth that gave Robin S’ 1990 single its much-loved sound. Beyoncé’s song, which also samples Big Freedia’s 2014 track ‘Explode’, is the first to be unveiled from her forthcoming seventh studio album, ‘Renaissance’, which will be released on 29th July.
Beyoncé, The-Dream, Tricky Stewart, BlaqNmilD (who produced ‘Explode’) and Jay-Z are all listed as producers on ‘Break My Soul’. Fred McFarlane, the US songwriter who wrote ‘Show Me Love’, has a co-writer credit on the new track.
