Bangkok has a new underground-focused club space. Bar Temp. opened its doors with a soft launch mid-January.

Located in the Thai capital’s historic Old Town, the single-room, 120-capacity venue has been set up by the same team as the More Rice label, with heads from another local club, Never Normal, and the visual arts collective Human Spectrum

Spec-wise, the address boasts a Martin Audio system and minimal lighting, contrasting the high production value of the city’s super clubs. This weekend sees local DJs Koish, Yoongying, Jirus, Sarayu and DOTT play. You can stay up to date with bookings here

Described as “seamlessly blend[ing] top-tier mixology with a forward-thinking music program, showcasing a dynamic mix of local, regional, and international talent,” Bar Temp host parties on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays between 7PM and 1AM. Fridays and Saturdays enjoy slightly longer running times, with kickoff at 7PM with a 3AM curfew.
