Armin van Buuren shares ‘A State Of Trance Year Mix 2024’ studio session video: Watch

Armin van Buuren has shared a live stream showing him putting together his ‘A State Of Trance Year Mix 2024’.

Offering a behind the scenes look into how he puts together mixes, the stream from his home studio clocks in at more than two hours. He delves into his creative process with mixes using Ableton, as well as the curation of tracks and the mixing and mastering of the finished set.

The ‘A State of Trance Year Mix’ has become a yearly tradition, with van Buuren using it to chart the development of trance music year by year. This year’s instalment will premiere later this year as part of the A State Of Trance radio show, and will also be made available on CD and streaming platforms.

In May, van Buuren released the 21st edition of his annual ‘A State Of Trance’ mix.

He placed sixth in the ranking for this year’s DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll.
