Aphex Twin drops surprise compilation, ‘Music From The Merch Desk (2016-2023)’: Listen
Aphex Twin has released a surprise new compilation.
Out now, ‘Music From The Merch Desk (2016-2023)’ features 38 tracks, collating the previously vinyl-only releases sold exclusively at various live Aphex Twin shows, including last year’s All Points East and a set from Houston in 2016.

In October, Warp Records hosted a drop-in listening session to celebrate the reissue and 30th anniversary of ‘Selected Ambient Works Volume II’. The reissue marks the first time the LP tracks have been made available across all formats, including the previously vinyl-only ‘track #19’ and ‘th1 [evnslower]’, which was released on streaming services for the first time. An October listening party event also took place at London’s Tate Modern.
A new book about the UK producer, Aphex Twin: A Disco Pogo Tribute, was also published in October. The 250-page book was put together by longtime Disco Pogo editor Jim Butler, and features contributions from various music journalists and experts.
Back in August, the producer born Richard D. James played a DJ set to an intimate crowd at a friend’s wedding.
