ANNA shares techno and ambient remixes of Orbital’s ‘Belfast’: Listen

News

Brazilian DJ and producer ANNA has shared new techno and ambient remixes of Orbital’s seminal track, ‘Belfast’, which are being released through London Records.

The new interpretations have been made to celebrate the original’s 30th anniversary. Often considered one of Orbital’s crowning glories, the tune first appeared on the EP ‘III’, the outfit’s third recorded outing which comprised three songs, after a demo tape was left following a gig at Belfast Art College in 1990, which was found by Northern Irish electronic music luminaries David Holmes and Alan Simms.

Now ANNA — who ranked 20th in DJ Mag’s Alternative Top 100 DJs poll 2021, powered by Beatport — has cut a pair of fresh takes on the source material, which are available now in digital formats. Take a listen below, then revisit DJ Mag’s interview with the South American artist.
