Method Man and Redman have been confirmed for the next VERZUZ rap battle.

Following last Saturday’s showdown between Wu-Tang Clan’s Ghostface Killah and Raekwon, Swizz Beatz and Timbaland have revealed that fellow Wu-Tang member Method Man and Def Jam’s Redman will face off in a 4/20 special edition of the rap showdown.

Confirming the battle via a tweet, VERZUZ also revealed that The Isley Brothers will take on Earth, Wind & Fire in a soul and funk showdown in April.

Launched in March 2020 during the initial COVID-19 pandemic, the VERZUZ series from producers Swizz Beatz and Timbaland has seen the likes of Alicia Keys, Beenie Man, DMX, Snoop Dogg and Ludacris face off in music battles.

In a podcast last year, Method Man revealed that he and Mobb Deep’s Havoc had recorded an LP in tribute to their respective late collaborators, Ol’ Dirty Bastard and Mobb Deep MC, Prodigy.
