Nia Archives has remixed a track from Jamie xx’s recently released ‘In Waves’ album. Have a listen below.
The Bradford-born DJ and producer puts her signature jungle spin on ‘Waited All Night’, a collaboration between Jamie xx and his The xx bandmates Romy and Oliver Sim, which marked their first appearance on a track together since the band’s 2017 LP, ‘I See You’.
“I was so buzzin to remix this one as ma favourite tune from Jamie’s new album,” Nia shared. “Had to go full happy hardcore mode on tha flip and it’s been going off at all ma US/EU tour dates the past couple of months !!”
Jamie xx’s long-awaited second solo album, ‘In Waves’, was released in September via Young, and entered the UK album charts at No. 5. The project also features collaborations with Robyn, Honey Dijon, The Avalanches, Kelsey Lu, John Glacier & Panda Bear and Oona Doherty.
The remix also follows Nia’s debut album ‘Silence Is Loud’, which was recently shortlisted for the 2024 Mercury Prize.

Earlier this year, it was revealed that The xx were working on the successor to ‘I See You’. “We’ve been in the studio again recently and it just feels like old times,” Jamie xx shared in an interview on Capital Dance’s evening show. “It’s early days [but] we’re having a good time.”
Jamie xx is currently in the midst of a world tour, which includes a recently-announced headliner at London’s LIDO Festival. The West London DJ will bring a special showcase edition of his recent club residency ‘The Floor’ to Victoria Park next June, alongside appearances from Romy, Panda Bear, John Glacier, Arca, Sampha, DJ Gigola, Shy One, Wookie and livwutang.
