Colour Factory and Jumbi launch creative grant for emerging artists and creatives

London venues Colour Factory and Jumbi have launched a creative grant aimed at emerging artists and creatives.

The new initiative will offer financial support of £1,000 to two emerging creatives under the age of 30. In addition, the grant will also enable the winners to work on a collaborative event with the teams at Peckham listening bar Jumbi and Hackney Wick club Colour Factory.

In addition, successful applicants will have access to hands-on mentorship and guidance from “experienced professionals” at Jumbi and Colour Factory.

Applicants for the Creative Legacy Grant are open as of today (15th October) to anyone under 30 active in the fields of music, art, events, or curation. According to the brief, applicants should have “a passion for creativity and be eager to push their work to the next level.”

They are particularly interested in hearing from applicants from Southwark and Hackney, although “all eligible applicants” are welcome to apply for the grant.

You can apply for the Creative Legacy Grant here.

London’s Colour Factory celebrated its third birthday earlier this year with a party featuring DJ Danifox, DJ Lycox, and more. Back in January, the Hackney Wick venue announced seven new residents for its 2024 roster, including of BADSISTARosa Pistola, Oblig, Crystallmess and more.

Meanwhile, Jumbi toasted its second birthday this year with Charlie Dark, Tash LC and co-founder Bradley Zero earlier this year.
