Midland announces debut album, ‘Fragments Of Us’, shares ‘Never Enough’: Listen

Midland is set to release his debut album, ‘Fragments Of Us’.

Due out on 4th October via his own Graded record label, the 13-track record’s cover art features a photo taken by his brother, Dom Agius. The record itself, meanwhile, takes in the voices of many of the producer’s artistic heroes, including filmmaker and educator Marlon Riggs, painter and photographer David Wojnarowicz and Horse Meat Disco’s Luke Howard.

In a statement about the release, Midland said: “‘Fragments Of Us’ is at its core my homage to and celebration of the gift of otherness and the spaces and voices that have helped along the way.”

To mark the album’s announcement, he has shared lead track ‘Never Enough’, which you can listen to below. Featuring Midland’s own vocoder-based vocals, it draws on elements of disco, dub and kosmische.

‘Fragments Of Us’ is available for pre-order via Midland’s Bandcamp page.

Last year, the UK producer released his first solo EP in four years, ‘Drift Into The Algorithm’.
