FKA twigs plays upcoming techno-inspired album in full at New York listening event
FKA twigs held a listening party for her next album in New York earlier this week, according to reports.
A specially invited group of people were able to listen to the album, reportedly titled ‘EUSEXUA’, from start to finish at the event. It took place in a “foggy basement” on New York’s Lower East Side, according to an X post shared by New York writer and artist Linux, who described it as “one of the most fab experiences of my life”.
Julia Fox was also in attendance at the event, and described the music on the album as “truly magical” in an Instagram story. “The whole room was pulsing with electricity and raw emotion,” she added.
It’s not yet known when ‘EUSEXUA’ will be released, but the listening event would seem to confirm that work on the record has been completed. Twigs teased the record earlier this year, revealing that she had been inspired by techno while working on it and had been in the studio with producer Koreless.
‘EUSEXUA’ will mark twigs’ first full-length album release since 2019’s ‘MAGDALENE’. In the meantime, she has released the mixtape ‘CAPRISONGS’, and a collaborative track with Two Shell, ‘Talk To Me’.
