Jayda G shares new single and video, ‘Feeling Alive’: Watch

Jayda G has dropped a new single and video. You can listen to ‘Feeling Alive’ and watch the clip below.

Landing on Ninja Tune, the label that released her most recent album ‘Guy‘, the track is a warm slice of summertime house music that emerged from a recording session with Sam Knowles, AKA Karma Kid, and BadKaye.

“We were just sitting in the studio working together, and I was very conscious of just wanting to focus on how good life can be, and how I really want my music to emulate that this time around,” said Jayda G.

“We talked a lot about different times in our lives when we were feeling really good and positive about life, and I started telling them this story from when I was living in LA, and I was driving down Sunset Boulevard late at night, seeing all the lights and everything going on, and how I just felt just really alive at that time,” she continued. “That’s how we hit on that tagline of “feeling alive” which helped form the sentiment of the whole track.”

Named as BBC Radio 1’s Hottest Record, ‘Feeling Alive’ arrives in the wake of the DJ’s film, ‘Blue Carbon‘, which also features Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA and Brazilian star Seu Jorge. The environmental documentary focuses on marine ecosystems and their ability to mitigate climate change. She also recently launched ‘Here’s Hoping’, a new podcast series which asks scientists, authors, musicians and activists why and how they still feel hope given the spiralling environmental crisis.
