Human Traffic celebrates 25th anniversary at Glastonbury with Arcadia and Cornish Arms takeovers

Human Traffic will be celebrated with two separate happenings at Glastonbury this weekend to mark the film’s 25th anniversary. 

The landmark UK club culture movie will first be honoured in The Park’s ale pub, The Cornish Arms. Taking place in the early hours of Saturday morning, Loop Dee Loop will play a DJ set inspired by the movie. Attendees are advised to “wear your hi-vis”. Part of a wider collaboration with management agency Blended Artists, other names involved include rave legends Mark Archer and Altern-8, and Madame Elecrifie 

Then, Saturday evening will see The Bug, Arcadia’s roaming bar stage, host Human Traffic x Save Our Scene. DJ Boring, Sim0ne, Shosh b2b Zero, Dan Shake and Loop Dee Loop will play between 5.30PM and 9PM, raising awareness for the campaign to support Britain’s beleaguered nightlife and live events industries. 

Released in 1999, Human Traffic was an early vehicle in the careers of actors John Simm and Danny Dyer, and chronicled a group of friends on a chemically-fuelled weekend in and around Cardiff’s dance and after party scene. A sequel was confirmed in 2016, with production reportedly completed by 2021. At the time of writing no release date has been confirmed.
