Octo Octa has released a new EP through T4T LUV NRG, the label she runs with Eris Drew. 

Spanning four tracks, ‘Dreams Of A Dancefloor’ is the US DJ and producer’s first release of her own music on the label since 2021’s ‘She’s Calling’ EP, and also follows two mixtapes and an album out out via the label in the past, including 2022’s ‘Love Hypnosis Vol.2’ and 2021’s ‘Resonant Body’.

The tracks that appear on ‘Dreams Of A Dancefloor’ were produced across a three-year period, and combine elements of house, trance, breakbeat and acid house. The EP explores Octo Octa’s belief that “the dancefloor experience can be not only exciting and ecstatic, but also deeply moving and generative – a reminder that underground dance culture offers permission for connections unsanctioned in the dominant society”.
