From Southeast Asia to the World: the Rise of INQUISITIVE

From Southeast Asia to the rest of the world, INQUISITIVE has taken the hard dance scene by storm. Born and raised in Singapore, Leon Lucas Ho, aka INQUISITIVE, has quickly become one of the most sought-after DJs and music producers in the region.

A fusion of modern-day hard dance with Asian and Chinese elements, INQUISITIVE‘s show visuals reflect the same. With his hard-hitting, high-octane DJ sets and viral remixes of K-pop songs like BLACKPINK’s “Kill This Love,” he has gained a massive following worldwide. He is also renowned for his Mandopop and K-pop remixes, which have been a hit among Asian music lovers.

INQUISITIVE‘s career highlights include winning the Singapore DMC Championships three times and being a top 12 world finalist in the DMC World DJ Championships in 2008. He has toured in multiple countries, spinning at many established clubs and festivals globally, including Ultra Korea, Ultra Japan, Marquee Sydney, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, New Zealand, China, Taiwan, Vietnam, and the United States of America.

However, INQUISITIVE’s success is not limited to his live performances. He is also the first Singaporean hard dance artist to hit 1 million streams on Spotify with his independent release, “DIVINE YASHA.” Moreover, his track was signed to one of the top hardstyle labels in the world, Dirty Workz, and another to Yellow Claw’s Barong Family.

Like most artists, INQUISITIVE’s path to fame was not without its challenges. He faced multiple rejections from record labels and was told his tracks were not good enough. Nevertheless, he persisted, kept manifesting, and worked tirelessly towards his craft, eventually achieving his goal of becoming one of the best hard dance producers from Southeast Asia.

This wasn’t his only challenge. INQUISITIVE also faced unsupportive “friends” who doubted his work, but he ignored them and stayed true to his craft. He believes in remaining motivated and driven, waking up every day looking forward to getting into the studio and creating magic. As part of his efforts to stay on track, he also turned to physical exercise and adopted a sober lifestyle.

INQUISITIVE believes in having a game plan and working towards it, no matter what hurdles or obstacles he may face. He encourages budding artists to never give up, especially in the face of failures and losses, and to persevere. INQUISITIVE aspires to be the first hard dance artist to put Singapore on the map and spread Asian-inspired hard dance music throughout the world.

The path INQUISITIVE has traveled demonstrates how far hard work and determination can take you. He has shown that anyone can overcome any hurdle and achieve their objectives with effort and commitment. As he continues to inspire and entertain audiences worldwide, we can’t wait to see where his music takes him next.

INQUISITIVE’s rise in the hard dance scene is an exciting development for Southeast Asian music. He is a shining example of the talent and potential that exists in the region, and his success is a source of pride for Singaporeans and people of other Asian countries alike. As he continues to make waves in the music industry, we look forward to seeing his music and influence spread even further, putting Southeast Asia on the map as a hub for hard dance and electronic music.
