VTSS announces new EP, ‘Circulus Vitiosus’, on Ninja Tune

VTSS has a new EP for Ninja Tune on the way called ‘Circulus Vitiosus’. Watch the video for the new single ‘Incredibly Annoying’ below.

The four-track EP, out 16th September, is Polish artist Martyna Maja’s first for the London label’s flagship imprint, though she’s previously released on its Technicolour offshoot. The title ‘Circulus Vitiosus’, “vicious cycle” in Latin, is the inspiration for her artist alias.

“There are many ways to tie ‘Circulus Vitiosus’ to my lyrics and the idea of a person who’s self aware and accepts who she is,” said VTSS. “The EP is another chapter of this VTSS character, which was put together in four letters when the doors were closed, and now the doors are opened.”

That new chapter is part of a shift to a more vocal-led sound for the artist, which VTSS previously introduced in June single and music video, ‘Make You Scream’, which also features on the upcoming EP.

In January earlier this year, VTSS released the ‘Projections’ EP via Technicolour. Prior to that, she collaborated with LSDXOXO on a track called ‘Goin Nuts’.
