MitiS and Crystal Skies Run A Clinic On How To Make Melodic Dubstep

MitiS and Crystal Skies Run A Clinic On How To Make Melodic Dubstep

If you were to create a perfect melodic dubstep track in today’s day and age what would you need? Probably someone who has an impeccable understanding of music theory combined with a mastery of sound design, throw in Angelic vocals and call it a win. Enter MitiS, a classically trained pianist as well as an established producer and Crystal Skies, Two of the most creative minds in EDM. The boys have collaborated with Monika Santucci on the amazing track Wait, released on Seeking Blue Records, and the outcome is divine.

Wait begins by immediately tugging on your heartstrings with soft synths that carry Monika’s tranquil voice. MitiS is a master of building melodies and he progressively builds a beauty here. At the drop, you can hear the expansive world created by subtle yet effective Crystal Skies growls spiraling around the climbing notes. For years I have watched the careers of both MitiS and Crystal Skies flourish, hoping and praying that one day they would create something beautiful. It is only fitting that the collab is called Wait.

You can catch MitiS and Crystal Skies talking about music or fumbling through games of League of Legends with the followers of their respective fan pages on Facebook. Luckily they make better producers than gamers. I can’t even pretend like that, they are solid at everything they do. Enjoy the Wait.
