Armin van Buuren has unveiled the trailer for his new documentary and concert film, THIS IS ME. Check it out below.
Created in collaboration with digital theatre and film producer HYMN, the film will tell the story of the Grammy-nominated DJ through a mix of documentary-style interviews and live concert footage, blending highlights from his recent performance at Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome alongside “intimate interviews” with the Dutch DJ and his family.
Co-directed by Sander Reneman, Nicolas Caeyers, and James Barnes, the film promises an “exploration of the creative process” behind the concert, as well surveying “the immense pressures and struggles of being a DJ, and Armin’s journey of self-discovery to connect with himself and others again”.
A premiere of THIS IS ME is slated to take place at Amsterdam’s Royal Theater Tuschinski on 27th June, with a global one-off streaming event scheduled for 30th June. Find out more here and watch the film trailer below.
Earlier this month, the Dutch producer, DJ, and A State of Trance (ASOT) boss dropped the first part of his ‘Feel Again’ album trilogy. The ten-track ‘Feel Again, Part 1’ follows on from van Buuren albums including ‘Embrace,’ which was released back in 2015, and 2019’s ‘Balance’. Parts 2 and 3 are expected to follow in the coming months.
